Did You Know There Is An Indian Version Of the Popular Show 'FRIENDS' ?
No kidding! But yes there is an Indian/desi version of one of the most popular shows 'F.R.I.E.N.D.S' titled 'Hello Friends'.
Friends is an American television sitcom, created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman. The show starring Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer is a big hit even till now and we still binge-watch it.
Are you a die-hard fan of the American sitcom F.R.I.E.N.D.S? But did you know that F.R.I.E.N.D.S had an Indian version of it and titled as ‘Hello Friends’. It aired in the year 1999 and starred Simone Singh, Maria Goretti, Cyrus Broacha, Nikhil Chinapa, Anil Dimbri, and Aparna Banerjee.
Hello Friends is a comedy about a group of six lovable, humorous, fun-loving friends and their adventures and misadventures. The series has a total of 26 episodes on YouTube and it will definitely leave you surprised.
Vyrus Booacha plays Chandler, Nikhil Chinapa plays Ross, Anil Dimbri plays Joey and Aparna Banerjee plays Rachel, Simone Singh plays Monica, Maria Goretti plays Pheobe.
The entire cast with their show names-
- Simone Singh as Sanjana
- Aparna Tilak as Nisha
- Maria Goretti as Penny
- Nikhil Chinapa as Vikram
- Anil Dimbri as Rahul
- Kunal Vijaykar as Uncle Sam
- Cyrus Broacha as Cyrus
- Mandira Bedi as Julie
However, people are surprised and disappointed after watching the episodes. People felt that this is a boring, unfunny, creepy. And I also didn't like it. It is a bad remake of friends. Indian makers can make much better in sitcoms while do not copying and make it originals. The cast is not acting properly and I think that they overacted. Friends is a popular and the best sitcom and it ranked in one of the lists of the best sitcom but this version is totally opposite.
